Where: Israel

Traveling to Israel is suddenly feasible again, thanks Madonna.

This week's
NY Post travel section
rounds up some of the sites to see and the places to stay in the Old World.

In Tel Aviv, the Sheraton Tel Aviv has rooms starting at $198, including breakfast and has special discounts for families. Best of all, it has views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Traveling onto Jerusalem, stay in the "venerable" King David Hotel in West Jerusalem. Rooms start at $260. Or else travel to the east side and check into the "cosmopolitan" American Colony Hotel in East Jerusalem.

If you are obsessed with "The Passion" by Mel Gibson or you are a Kabbalah follower, then head on to Galilee. The region is home to Nazareth, you know Jesus of Nazareth, and Tsfat, where Kabbalah supposedly originated.

Head to the beach and stay at the newly opened Scots Hotel, "a high-end hideaway in Tiberias with a private beach by the Sea of Galilee" where rooms start at $110.

Just like it's trendy in Europe to visit farmland and such, the Argo-Tourism kick is also happening is Israel.

Two places to check out are Neve Hagar a small B&B in Beit Lehem and the higher-end Domain Galil in the Biria Forest which is modeled after a French country estate. Rooms for Neve Hagar begin at $110 including breakfast. Domain Galil is $300 including breakfast and dinner.
