Does anyone else find watching Meredith and Gretchen like watching a typical Hollywood horror movie?

You know they are going to get the axe, it is just a matter of when, but you shout at the TV trying to keep them alive.

Well the shouting worked this week as Meredith & Gretchen kicked ass, old people style.

Unfortunately, Boston Rob, who recently beat out Todd English as Boston's #3 "Most Loathsome Bostonian," (Yes, as soon as the folks in New York do something, the folks in Boston feel the need to do the exact same thing.) was not eliminated from the race. However, at least the man that needed a definition for the word 'gnome' didn't get his hands on the $20,000 cash prize offered by Travleocity.

The Amazing Race Hotel Report Continues Post Break

Sure you have to spend all 20k on Travelocity trips, but that is one sick prize. We wonder if the contest rules strictly prohibit buying one plane ticket and one hotel room then kindly informing the marketing team at Travelocity that you will be staying at said hotel until the loot runs dry. You could make it, what, three, maybe four months on room service and mini-bar drinks before you run out of gnome money, right?

Aside from the 20k the contestants that grabbed the lucky dwarf like creature also got to spend the pit stop at the Four Season Hotel in Istanbul. Sure the property is a converted Turkish prison, but find us a hotel in Istanbul that isn't a former Turkish prison (we kid because we love). Nestled in the old city, The Four Seasons Istanbul comes with spacious rooms, flat screen tv's (in some rooms), and the service you would expect from a Four Seasons.

Not a bad way to gear up for the final couple legs of the Amazing Race.
