Daily Candy checks in on Thailand post tsunami and finds that the few provinces hit by last December's tragic storm are well on their way to recovery.

They mention a couple of different hotels, however, since Thailand is one place where the exchange rate can be quite favorable, we would try to snag a room at the Peninsula Bangkok. With a little finagling you may be able to get a room for under $200 a night, which is a deal at this five star, service oriented resort.
