Hotel Muni Gets Harsh Review From SF Chronicle

Naturally, when a newspaper reviewer has trouble finding the front door of a hotel he is about to review, he is going to be hard pressed to give said hotel a spectacular review.
Needless to say, John King, columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle is not a fan of Hotel Vitale, as a matter of fact it is almost safe to say he hates it.
Sounds like everyone in San Francisco had some sort of say in designing the exterior of Hotel Vitale. From Muni, to the voters who passed some sort of "no more shadows" proposition, to JDV, to every architect who ever had a layover at SFO, to the dude that drives the N Judah--they all pitched in, and you know what they say about anything designed by committee.

Mr. King was so aghast at the external appearance of Hotel Vitale we aren't even sure he made it up to the rooms.
In any event, we got a sneak peak of this hotels innards back in March, and we wouldn't dismiss this hotel on outward appearance alone. Furthermore, the outward appearance didn't even offend us, but then again we aren't architecture experts. Haven't you ever dated someone for their personality Mr. King?
So if you have spent a couple nights at Vitale let us know what you think, will ya? We know the location, views, and rooms are top notch, but how is the service and the overall experience?
