The Hotel Des Arts threw open their doors las night and let the public gawk at their now thirty rooms which have been recreated by some of the scene's hottest emerging artists.

A room at the 51 room Union Square boutique can be had for under $100.  While you probably won't be treated to five star service, and from what we hear the shower water pressure isn't always top notch (depending on what room you get), if you are a fan of art, this could be a unique experience.  Hotel Des Arts promises the opportunity to sleep in the middle of floor to ceiling art at an affordable price.

The question is can you put high concept ahead of low flow for a night?
