Only Design Hotel In Liverpool

Open since sometime last year, The Hope Street Hotel is Liverpool's self proclaimed "first and only design hotel."

Despite the hubris, all indications are this little hotel lives up to the hype. LCD Widescreens, and more importantly "unmetered broadband access", which can be rare in Europe, further endear us to this Liverpool pit stop.

So tell us this, if you are already hanging banners all over your town that say "Capital of Culture in 2008" does that mean you don't have much going on in your city? Isn't 2008, like, three years away?

Ah, Liverpool, we will let it slide, at least the banners don't read "Still the Birthplace of the Beatles."

Rates: £155.00 per night for King Deluxe.

62 Castle St is the new Hope Street Hotel.  http://www.62castlest.com is a stunning, modern and exclusive city centre boutique hotel, formerly known as the Trials Hotel.

Using a contemporary interior with a traditional twist, the design contradicts but complements the beautiful Victorian architecture, providing you with luxury hotel accommodation.

All of their hotel suites are unique in design and configuration, each with a quirky diversity. Each room includes Internet access, direct dial telephone, HD plasma screens, CD and radio, MP3 docking station, iron and ironing board, hairdryers and hospitality tray. Each with stunning bathrooms complete with drench showers and Elemis toiletries. They also offer guests "wet rooms" as an alternative to baths but you need to ask about this before you book.

    Rates: House Suite from £135.00
           Master Suite from £135.00
           Grand Suite from £175.00
