If the hotness of your bands has anything to do with the hotness of your women, or your casino, Wynn may be in trouble.

Steve Wynn's gala weekend opening of his $2.5 billion resort won't be the only party in town at the end of April.

Although Thursday is the Hard Rock Hotel's actual 10th anniversary, the celebration has been set for the weekend of April 29, the same weekend that Wynn Las Vegas opens.

Hard Rock chief Peter Morton seems to be sending a message: He's lined up white-hot British band Coldplay Paltrow, Nine Inch Nails and Bon Jovi for the big weekend.

A published report in Sunday's Page Six gossip column of the New York Post said the Eagles will open Wynn's new hotel. But the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that it's not a done deal. There's a delicate issue involving the Eagles' $1 million fee, music industry sources say.

Sounds like Morton's going to have the better show.

Ha. The Eagles? Come on Wynn, you can do better than a bunch of washed up national birds.

the Eagles?

if you had to pick one band that costs too  much AND sucks AND will drive away any image of the Wynn being hip, it'd have to be the Eagles.

Yeah. Paris Hilton is going to abandon the  Ghost Bar for a hotel/casino that has 65 year olds at their opening festivities?  Please.
