Plug Your iPod Into Your Alarm Clock
March 30, 2005 at 7:53 AM | 0 Comments

While some hotels are offering up iPod minis bolted to your nightstand, Hilton has decided to go lower tech, and release a brand new custom designed alarm clock/radio.
This new clock radio features a connection cable so hotel guests can plug in their MP3 player and other portable music devices.
The new clock is also suppose to alleviate users common frustration with setting in-room alarm clocks.
Press alarm set. Indicate alarm time. Press enter. Done.
The clock also features four pre-set buttons for local radio stations so you don't have to wake up to the sound of static.
Nearly 250,000 new clocks will be phased in to all existing and newly opened Hilton, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations Club, and Homewood Suites by Hilton guest rooms between now and July 15, 2005.
It may not be Sirius radio, but it does sound like a big improvement for these mid level hotels.
It's all about the little things...right?
