Lara Sleeps At The Crescent...Sort Of

Even Jet Set Lara slums it every once in a while.
However, turns out when your norm is scarfing Granvelle dark Belgian chocolates at the Trump International in NYC, slumming it means "hip yet affordable boutique hotels."
Recently, Lara stayed at the Crescent in Beverly Hills, where rooms sell for about ~190 a night. Here is her review of how the other half lives:
The Crescent is a small, cute hotel in Beverly Hills with tiny rooms and a happening lounge scene in the lobby on weekend nights. One of its claims to fame was that it was among the first to feature an iPod in every room. Unfortunately, the iPod mini is encased in a Lucite shell for anti-theft purposes, is non-portable, and you can't even use the attached speakers to plug into your personal iPod!
Lara goes on to confirm earlier reports that the Crescent has a bit of a noise problem.
I didn't mind the lounge noise (besides, I tend to go out a lot in LA). It was the cleaning crew that drove me insane Saturday morning with their vacuum cleaner!
Hmm, maybe the Crescent should take the "Sleep" off their front door until they get this issue under control.
