W Montreal: Fembots On The Premises

As you no doubt know by now, we found ourselves in Montreal over the vernal equinox weekend, enjoying the city and experiencing the hotels.
W Montreal was served as our home base. Strategically located between the heart of Old Montreal and the heart of St. Catherine's Street--well, that is, if you call 696 St. Catherine the "heart" like we do.
So what is W Montreal all about? First off, the staff is incredibly friendly. This place is stacked with beautiful people dressed in black and donning Bobby Brown style headsets (circa My Prerogative). These fembots and malebots saunter around the lobby searching to help out guests, or just chat 'em up.
One such fembot, concierge Mireille, helped us plan a night on the Canadian town, and she did a damn good job. Seriously, these folks are nice, no pretensions here, just a bunch of nice Canadians.

The bottom floor of the hotel is definitely a nightclub, complete with a "list" bar (don't worry your W room key lets you stroll past the bouncer). This bar looks to be inspired by the great ice bars of Scandinavia, and it is perfect for a night of gawking at beautiful people.
Once you make it up to your room you will find an extremely urban, open room. Electric blue curtains cover the the windows and the voyeur shower, a soaking tub sits in the middle of the open concept bathroom (toilet is in its own room), and a comfy bed with some sort of faux-fur blanket on top completes the look.
We stayed in an Urban Suite, which is kind of the junior suite of the room types, however, all rooms come with the voyeur shower. If you want to have some real fun ask the front desk folks to tell you about the shower. They will try hard to search for just the right delicate English wording to explain "voyeurism." Stammering, the staff beauties will say something like "umm, how do you say? watch naked through blueglass? Is this right."
So what are the drawbacks? Well the "use your key to operate the elevator" may add some level of security but it drives us batty. Oh, and if you don't like being part of a scene, you may want to look into some of the quieter options, though once you get out of the lobby you rarely hear the frolicking revelers.
We should add that W was kind enough to comp our visit--so we didn't have to go blow a bunch of money at the casino to get a free room like we usually do. Thanks!
