This place is fat, Inca style. Especially if you upgrade to one of the twelve Junior Suites which are larger than the generic guest rooms and come with cool art work on the wall.
You aren't really in Cusco for the rooms, you are there for the culture right? Well if you are...the original architecture and design of the Monasterio has not been significantly altered, and thus the rooms do reflect their origins as a home for Jesuit seminarians. There are no 2 rooms alike and they all vary in size and format.
Though like we said before, the 109 guest rooms are run of the mill boxes.
The Hotel Monasterio has counteracted the sickness altitude problem introducing the oxygen supplementation system in most of our rooms.
All this is going to cost you, probably over $300, but remember, in our little fantasy world CBS is paying for all this anyway. Oh-he-ha.
