With our abundance of Parisian hotel stories lately, it is safe to say we love the French, again. Last weeks US Weekly fills us in on where a few celebrities stay when they visit The City of Lights.
The Ritz Paris:This is the "ultimate in Parisian elegance" which counts celebs like Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Uma Thurman as guests. Designer Coco Chanel lived in a luxury suite there for more than 30 years and if you've got serious money you can stay there for nearly $9,000 a night. Regular rooms for little people start at $821.
Oh, and the bakery at the Ritz makes nearly 900 pastries and 2,000 bread rolls a day, adding up to almost a million a year. Obviously, the French do not like Atkins.
George V: Angelina Jolie apparently loves this Four Seasons hotel and loves taking her married men there to seduce them with her sexual voodoo. And it's completely kid-friendly. Jolie got her son Maddox one of the personalized frog t-shirts they sell there. (Rooms from $915)
Hotel Plaza Athenee: Remember that episode where Carrie went to Paris with her tortured artist/Russian boyfriend in the finale of Sex in the City and ended up leaving with Big? Well this is the hotel they stayed in.
And for you Spidey fans, Kirsten Dunst (MJ) partied there during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month. As if you couldn't tell from the SITC episode this is the hotel of fashionistas. (Rooms from $747)
Hotel Le Bristol: After George Clooney was done tormenting his neighbors in Italy, he took the Ocean's Twelve cast and crew stayed here and good ole George treated them to a $4,000 champagne and foie-gras feast at the Summer Restaurant in the hotel. (Rooms from $821)
