A recent Hard Rock Hotel Chicago visitor sums up his visit for us:
The room was really bad. The Bathroom had wallpaper with guys on it. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to have a picture of a guy in the same room when I'm using the bathroom.
Unlike the visitor, dudes on the bathroom wallpaper is not enough to drive us away.
Reviews are definitely mixed on Hard Rock Chicago. Some love it, some hate it. The property is one of the many Hard Rock hotels which was a Sol Melia in a former life, and our inclination is to shy away from former Sol Melia Hard Rock's. However, sometimes a deal can push you over the edge.
Hard Rock Chicago is running weekend deals for ~$139 a night starting in late March and running through April 30th.

We know a couple of ad agency folks who stay here every time they go to Chicago on business, and they love the place.
So is this place a dump or a palace? Probably neither, but we love to live on the edge.
Plus you know us, we will give any place with flat screen TVs and free Internet a try--at least once.
