Segway Package at Casa Del Mar

Just found out Hotel Casa Del Mar offers some sort of Segway package. Yup, that's right for ~$520! a night you get a room, spa treatment, a complimentary in-room movies, AND a Segway.

Hmm. Looks like you only get to use the Segway for two hours. Doesn't sound like you will have time to make it far, maybe to Third Street Promenade and back? Why wouldn't Hotel Casa Del Mar give you unlimited Segway use while you are in town? Insurance reasons? We think we would rather just rent a car like the rest of the Hollywood types.

HCDM is located directly on the Santa Monica beachfront, Casa Del Mar is the ultimate vacation destination for out-of-towners, and the ideal hotspot for Angelenos. Its expansive lounge area overlooks the beach.

This historic landmark is rumored to be haunted, but the spirits must be good-natured as the vibe here is cool, casual, and quietly hip. Just perfect for Segway riding.
