Miami Hotel Scene: The Vic Off And Running

Looks like giving Hotel Victor the benefit of the doubt may have been the right move.

Just found out they are open, have a "jellyfish" theme, a circus-style motorcycle wheel of death, AND Victoria Prado. This property is well on its way.

Gridskipper's ear to the ground in Miami reviews:

For a mass-chain hotel, it's nice- very plush and intimate, although the lobby is small, and will probably be a zoo when you're checking in on Friday after the 5:45 out of LaGuardia.

Supposedly, the Vic is having a grand opening party for 850 folks this Friday night--we assume our invite got "lost in the mail", right Victoria?

Anyway, looks like a cool hotel, we will get there eventually. Yeah, yeah, we know it is still a Hyatt. Maybe they set the Internet free at Hotel Victor

Just talked to someone named Vikki on the phone (you sensing a V theme here as well? Could it have been Victoria?) and she confirmed--Victor did indeed set WiFi free, in the lobby and in the guest rooms. Glad to here Hyatt ditched their normal Internet policy.

Of course, if you make it to the party, or make it to Hotel Victor before us, spill.
