See The NFL Blocked Wynn Super Bowl Ad
Developer Steve Wynn went 630 feet in the air, climbed a 15-foot ladder, and was 18 inches from the edge of his building, while helicopter blades were just three feet from his head--all in the name of filming a commercial.
The real bummer? The ad, was suppose to air during the Super Bowl, however due to the NFL's stance on gambling, the ad never aired nationally. That's right, no Janet Jackson references, no sexy women, and the NFL still blocked the ad.
The ad did air locally, in Vegas, however, Wynn said he was amused to hear, from industry sources, that two of his former Mirage Resorts hotels, Bellagio and the Mirage, blocked casino Super Bowl viewers from watching the Wynn spots, substituting company logos while the ads aired.
"I don't think they'll be able to block them from seeing our building," he said.
You can view the ad on the Wynn website, (click on view commercial at the bottom) or you can wait until the Oscars, when the Wynn Vegas ad will once again attempt to go national.
