Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter will further explain the conditions I marked on your survey. I wish I could take you on a virtual tour but I will put in writing what I observed since I did not take pictures. Starting at the airport, I was picked up by a CLARION HOTEL van. The young gentleman w/dreds driving stayed seated and on a cell phone. I opened the door and asked where to put the suitcase-no answer. Put it in the seat next to me, closed the door and he drove to the hotel driving with one hand on the wheel and one holding the phone to his ear and talking. He stopped at one light to open the driver door and spit. At the hotel he was still on the phone and offered no assistance with the suitcase. I checked in, went to my room and noticed that the hallway to the elevator was not clean-paper littered both sides of hallway and the carpet is in poor repair, stained and needing shampooing. Took the elevator to the third floor and found the carpets and halls in the same condition-not clean. Entering my room, the room seemed clean until I turned on the light by the bed. The floor had small pieces of paper on it, twigs or leave pieces. Candy wrappers under the bed spread along the base of the bed. A bobby pin on the floor left of the dresser. Went into the bathroom, the floor around the base board and behind the door was dirty. There were a few hairs on the counter by the ice bucket. The front of the fascia between the Kleenex dispenser and toilet paper dispenser had stains, drip marks from food or? When I put the toilet seat down in the morning, there were urine stains on the seat and the toilet bowl was stained (I did not notice the urine stains until I needed to sit in the morning).
The room had two double beds. I turned down the bed closest to the windows and found crumbs on the sheets-probably food. I turned down the other bed and checked for debris but found it to be clean. Checking for a nice pillow, I found food or something that came off the pillow case and got under my finger nail. I checked the other 3 pillow cases and found them to be stained. I took the best of the three and turned them inside out and used them. The bedspread on the second bed had a hole in it the size of a half dollar. I put this on the floor and just used a blanket. The walls of the room were scuffed and worn, needing painting.
I went to sleep at Midnight hoping to sleep in; my flight was at 2pm Tuesday. The first time I was awoke was 3:30am by 3 planes that sounded like they were going to land in the parking lot which you have no control over. The second time was at 8:10am by the maids pounding on the door wanting to clean the rooms. This went on for 45 minutes or more on all the doors up and down the halls. So much for sleeping late.
I got up and went down to the continental breakfast. It was nice but the decorations and cleanliness needed attention. After I finished eating, I went to the front desk and asked for the manager. He was summoned and appeared in street clothes (wrinkled slacks and pull over shirt) with a day or more facial growth-not what would call the correct appearance of someone in charge. I explained why he was summoned and asked if he would like to see my room and its deficiencies. He said no but he would have the head of housekeeping meet me. When I got to my room, she was waiting for me (I did not get her name) and I showed her my concerns. She thanked me and left. When I checked out, I asked if the manager wanted to talk to me or if anyone had left a message for me-the desk clerk checked and nothing was left. I got in the CLARION HOTEL van and was driven to the airport. The drivers door wound not shut so he held it closed-the warning buzzer buzzed the entire time we drove to the airport. I would appreciate a written response or a phone call.
Sincerely, [Dedacted]
