HotelChatter's New Year's Rockin' Eve: Rock Star Weekend

It's getting dark out there in New Year's Eve hotel world. Most rooms are getting gobbled up, but this is what we do, we find kick ass options for your lazy-wait-until-the-last-second asses.

Turns out Hotels.com still has some rooms left at the Catalina Hotel in Miami Beach. The best part? The Catalina hotel web site is charging over $300 per night for Dec 31 - Jan 3 rooms (they are requiring a three night stay), however, Hotels.com is pimping the same "standard room" at $221.75 per night (average daily price). Sweet.

Don't expect five star accommodations, as we have told you, this place is rock-n-roll. You know the deal. If Jack White was a hotel, he would be The Catalina.

If you still want to swank it up, stroll across the street, and down a block or two, to the Setai New Year's Eve bash. Promoter Noah Teppenberg has convinced Nicole Richie and DJ AM to show up and host a party at Mansion despite their recent split. The bigger news is the Fez will be there, and that dude is a hot party magnet, so find a way to get yo'self into this one.

Even if you fail you can chill out on the beach, hit the Raleigh, the Delano, and enjoy a free turkey burger lunch poolside at the Catalina.

Not a bad way to ring in the new year.
