Can't deal with the crowds at Time Square but still want to experience the Ball Drop in New York on New Years? Well, the folks over at Tribeca Grand have come up with an alternate plan.

This New Years in the downtown 8-story atrium of the Tribeca Grand's Church Lounge a mini ball will drop!

That's right, a mini-ball drop event has been created so that you and your swanky friends - can scoff at the fools freezing their hiney off 40 blocks north while you sip your bubbly in your skimpy New Year's outfit.

Deets:
The Full Package will cost you $199 per person for the night and gets you:

1. Reserved seating
2. Passed hors d'oeuvres
3. A sumptous (their word, not ours) gourmet buffet from 10pm to 1am.
4. Champagne toast at midnight and ooh party favors!

The regular package goes for $99 per person and gets you the important stuff like, open bar and complimentary champagne at Midnight but no reserved seating or food for you!

So whether you want to drink and dine or just drink your dinner - the Tribeca Grand's Mini Ball Drop Event seems like a good deal in New York and sure beats fighting the crowds uptown.
