The PR flacks have alerted us that the the long awaited Hard Rock Hotel Madrid is almost ready to hand out key cards.

In late spring 06 the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid will let guests try out 201 rooms--featuring plush feather top bedding, dark hardwood floors, a work station of some sort, an iPod connection, and in some rooms an iPod for guest use.

In all rooms, a 32-inch plasma television will hang from the wall and WiFi access will rule the day. No word on if the Hard Rock plans to give the guests the signal for free--let's hope so.

The hotel will also feature a restaurant, a lounge, and a rooftop bar.

British architect Keith Hobbs and Mr. Cindy Crawford have both been involved with this properties development over the past year.

Oh, and as an added bonus, it looks like the in-room mirrors come complete with random rock quotes. The mirror we saw had this Bowism scrawled in the corner:

Oh you pretty things? 1972 Bowie

Any chance an Angela Bowie quote made it onto one of these in-room mirrors? Probably not.
