You Just Booked 365 Days at the Hilton Tokyo For $365...Now What?

According to USA Today's Megg Mueller Schulte, last weekend a bunch of Web travel hounds found one of those oft discussed, but hardly ever realized, Internet travel pricing error deals on Expedia.
Two Japanese hotels, Hilton Osaka and Hilton Tokyo, were offering deals as low as $1 a night, erroneously of course.
One dude went a tad hog wild:
One man even claims to have booked rooms for an entire year at the Hilton Tokyo; now he's trying to find a job to go along with his new "home."
So will Expedia and Hilton honor such egregious deals?
If a booking was made for the month of November, Hilton will honor the reservation at the quoted price. But if a booking was made for December or beyond, it will be cancelled - unless it is part of a package, which Expedia.com will honor.
Sounds about right. That means if you spot one of these easter egg type hotel deals, go ahead and book it, but don't book too far in advance. Chances are a hotel will honor some of these crazy deals, but not all. You can't expect them to take a goose egg in the revenue column for the year because of a currency conversion computer issue.
Good luck spotting these deals, which are as elusive as spotting the rare albino gorilla in Rwanda.
If you do smoke out one of these deals, let us know will ya?
