For Hotel Guests On The Run

Three random hotels for running types:

·   The Westin leads the race of jogging specialty packages and amenities.

RunWestin offers a three mile run, three days a week led by the Running Concierge. The Westin allows little room for excuses NOT to exercise or keep up your marathon training while travelling.

·   Sunday was the New York Marathon, it's exhausting just thinking about it. The cure-all for exhaustion, however is a good bed. Our guess is today, the runners are enjoying their beds at hotel headquarters:
-->The Hilton New York
-->Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers

·   Check out Runner's World columnist Doug Rennie's book, On The Road, gives the sneaker-toting traveler the inside scoop on run-lovin' hotels. If you happen to be in the heartland he recommends The Savery Hotel:

Just two blocks from the Des Moines River trails, the Savery also has a 20-lap-to-the-mile indoor jogging track, a good warmup choice in bad weather. Hotel general manager/runner Randy Haynes can map out, or perhaps, join you on a nice little run around the capital. Afterward, be sure to clean out your sinus cavities in the hotel's eucalyptus room.
