The Algonquin Hotel in New York City, a literary landmark because of the infamous Round Table group, is living up to its heritage by loaning guests iPods with filled with current and classic book titles, including, but not limited to:
· DaVinci Code
· Saturday
· Blink
· South Beach Diet
· French Women Don't Get Fat
· Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
The property has two loaner iPods that are available to guests. Queue up early in the morning, because these iPods are first come first serve.
Oh, And if you are a writer, published or soon-to-be, you get 20 percent off lunch in the dining room and a speacial room rate of $199. But only from Sunday-Thursday. So you can get a cheap lunch, a special room rate, and walk around Manhattan listening to Saturday. Who said being a writer was all about living in Brooklyn and eating Raman noodles?
