Hotel In Question: Hotel 71

Zagat's Take:

The Loop's former Executive Plaza, given a $20-million face-lift, presents a modern, steel and blue-tinted glass exterior housing large guestrooms that were originally designed as apartments, with panoramic skyline and river views; it has the latest business amenities and luxurious touches like 300-thread-count linens (plus eight executive boardroom suites with in-room meeting space), a high-tech lounge with WiFi capabilities and Porter's steakhouse.

HotelChatter's Take:
Though Sir Za Gatt doesn't have much to say on this one, it seems that after some early hiccups this hotel is starting to grow into its new facelift skin.

However, what really got our attention was when Hotel 71 gave an underdressed Internet executive a free suite upgrade .  Random acts of customer service rock.
