Affordable Aspen Hotels

November 22, 2005 at 11:25 AM | by markj | 0 Comments

Nothing is cheap in Aspen, however, you don't have to max out your credit cards to shack up during the winter months.

Gems of Aspen is a website put together by a group of local hoteliers that dissects affordable B&Bs and small hotels in the area.

These hoteliers want you to know Aspen is not the St. Regis, Hotel Jerome or bust. Little Red Ski Haus, Innsbruck Inn, and the Boomerang Lodge, which was built by a Frank Lloyd Wright student, are all presented as affordable alternatives.

The Boomerang offers an après ski whirlpool, a complimentary breakfast, and it is only a ten minute walk into town.

Not every hotel on the list is a "gem", and not every hotel is ultra affordable, however, after a little clicking you should be able to create a decent short list of options.
