Zagat's 2006 Hotel Guide Gets It Wrong

Hotel In Question: Dream NY
There's plenty of places to relax, maybe even daydream, at this Midtown newcomer from hotelier Vikram Chatwal and fashion surrealist David LaChapelle, since it's got an eclectic lobby lounge with a two-floor circular aquarium (largest in the Northeast), a separate colorfully striped bar, a rooftop respite, Ava Lounge, with 1950s French Riviera-inspired decor and the attached David Rockwell-designed Serafina restaurant with lots of outdoor seating; rooms have 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, H2O toiletries, flat-screen plasma TVs and iPods to use around town, and the Chopra Center New York will open shortly.
HotelChatter's Take:
Seriously, Zag It, this was a 70 mph fast ball right down the middle. By now we all know the Sikh billionaire in waiting has had his fair share of problems living the Dream, at least according to the Hotel Mavens.
Maybe Zagat has seen the future, and in 2006 VC gets it right.
