Hotel In Question: 70 Park Avenue

Zagat's Take:

Finally, Kimpton comes to Manhattan with this Murray Hill style-setter designed by Jeffery Bilhuber; it boasts a lobby with a 14-ft. limestone and sandstone fireplace, rooms with customized linens, distinctive artwork, 42-inch LCD flat-screen TVs and touchtone-screen telephones for ordering room service electronically (dog-friendly quarters feature gourmet treats and chew toys); business types will like the 17th-floor suite with wraparound terrace and chef Kevin Reilly's lobby-level Silverleaf Tavern.

HotelChatter's Take:
Ok granted, the fact that this is where we watched the Sox win the 2004 World Series (in HD we might add) might render our opinion obsolete, and a stay in Murray Hill isn't for everyone, however, for those business travelers that need high speed, reliable, free WiFi, a bed softer than Mickey Mouse's plush hands, and easy access to Time Square, Madison Ave, and Grand Central Station, this place will do in a pinch.
