Stuffed Bear Beaten in Hotel Lobby

Fox is reporting on a hotel brawl involving a group of inebriated business men and a stuffed animal. Slow news day? However, this is right up our alley.

The Holiday Inn in Richmond Indiana made headlines last Wednesday when their inanimate 5 foot, well dressed stuffed bear named Oliver was kidnapped from his happy lobby den and beaten by "a pack of bear hating businessmen."

After viewing the bear's kidnap/beating on a security tape from the building's elevator chamber, employees managed to find the 5-foot teddy bear later that day.

As Oliver is indeed inanimate and lacks the ability to speak, it seems unlikely that the fight was provoked. Still, the hotel decided not to get the cops involved, possibly due to the general sentiment that the bear had been through enough.

Oliver returned to his post in the lobby, despite losing his eye. We are not sure whether this is an isolated incident, but stuffed animals in hotels world wide should remain vigilant.
