Check in took 30 minutes and there was no English speaking staff members to accommodate us. Upon entering room, we found the bed to be far from heavenly. The pillows and sheets looked like a bad bleach job at the laundry a putrid pink color, and the pillows were fluffiness.
Pick up the phone for "service express" and it was more like guest distress--they didn't even bother to answer the phone after more than thirty rings.
Maintenance had to come and unclog my "heavenly shower heads" so they would spout more water than a tinkle.
We also had problems with the concierge--we asked for a van for 6 to the SVQ airport (taxi fare runs 18-35 Euros) and they wanted 100 Euros plus plus!
My recommendation on this hotel is to just drive by and say NO WAY, Westin better get the message before their reputation is further tarnished by this albatross of a hotel and its staff.
Finally, if you do not pay full rack rate apparently any conference or discount rates are excluded from SPG Points accrual--shame shame on Starwood for letting that one go on.
