Stay In Jane Fonda's Dorm Room

...well sort of.
It is officially October, and that means leaf peeping season is officially underway. Most US locales don't go full foliage until sometime around mid October, so you still have time to pick your tree watching hotel.
Recently, the NY Times visited Alumnae House, the Inn at Vassar College.
The New York property reopened late last year after a big time renovation. At around $100 a night this place is a relative bargain and a nice bat cave for exploring Hudson Valley during the fall.
Free WiFi and a "Vassar" crowd help make this property and interesting jumping off point.
Fred Bernstein, the NY Times reviewer, found the dorm style hotel collegiate, yet passable, saying:
If you always wanted to go to Vassar, but not pay the tuition, here's your chance.
"Going to Vassar" has got to be all right, seeing that Jane Fonda, and Jackie O both attended the institution.
