There is an exception to every rule, right? So when we said folks don't go to South Bend for the Hummers, we were of course, if rumor is to be believed, excluding Nick Lachey, who will be in South Bend this weekend for "work".

Odds are the aforementioned Knight's Inn South Bend, and its alleged bed ropes, are a tad too lascivious for most Lachey poster touting Irish freshman. Moreover, it is likely Nick and the College Game Day crew have opted for the atrium style South Bend Marriott instead.

This property is not heaven on earth, but it is the closest thing you will find to luxe accommodations in South Bend.

Oh, and no girls, we don't know Mr. Lachey's room number, but if you look the part, you are bound to bump into him, or you could always wait to get cast on the insidious "Nick Lachey Goes to College" reality show which seems imminent at this point.
