Apparently, socialite Conrnelia Guest recently ditched her $10,000 a month room at the Beverly Hills Hotel in favor of "chicer and larger digs at the Argyle hotel.

So how is the Argyle? Well, lacomfidential hopes Guest didn't check into room 704, where the paint was peeling on the ceiling as recently as last week, and another recent guest quipped:

The art deco style was just old - not charming. The bedspread was DISGUSTING - dirty stained white old bedspread covered with white sheets - pull off the white sheets and it looked like it hadn't been washed in years. The bar looked old and worn. Desk staff was very aloof - not accommodating at all.

Last we heard the Argyle was still under renovations, so maybe Guest can hurry things along.
