Montezuma's Revenge

October 4, 2005 at 11:00 AM | by GEM0330 | 0 Comments

Get ready to pack your Louis Vuitton and head to Mexico City. Starwood Hotels & Resorts has just announced plans to build the first St. Regis in Latin America.

Jeez. First W, then the NFL, and now St. Regis. Mexico City hasn't been this hot since Montezuma II was ruling the roost back in the 1500's.

Whether or not you can afford the St. Regis, it will undoubtedly be a landmark. Architect Cesar Pelli, who designed the taller-than-Sears-Tower (1,483-foot) Petronas Towers in Malaysia as well as the Torre de Cristal in Barcelona, will design this hot spot. The combination of Pelli, the St. Regis brand, and interior designed with Yabu Pushelberg's contemporary touch should make this 180-room hotel an experience in Latin luxury.

Just think - if you start saving now, by 2007 you could be one of the first to test the sheets.
