Suckers For A Secret Hotel In Jamaica

We know it can be a gimmick, or maybe in the worst case a total rouse, but we are suckers for any story on "secret" hotels or "hidden gems". Go ahead, call us out. Label us as media whores. Then take a look at the Rock Hotel in Negril Jamaica and look us straight in the eye and tell us you are not impressed.

Gorgeous pool built right into a cliff, laid back atmosphere, all perched on a secluded romantic cove in Jamaica.

Inside you will find seven studios with sea views ($130), and nine standard rooms with garden views ($100), and mosquito netting around four-poster beds.

When we find a hotel that makes us pause and say to ourselves, "Do we really want to share this with everyone? Will they raise our prices if we do?," we know that we have found a sweet spot.

Oh, and the Jamaican apres beach scene (see, we are quick learners) on Seven Mile Beach is only a $5-$10 cab ride away.

We found this place via this very cool MSNBC/Budget Travel piece, which also chronicles hotels in Carriacou and St. John, St. Lucia and Dominica, and the Bahamas.

Go ahead, try to burst our bubble.
