DC Hotel Super Bowl: The Inauguration
January 17, 2005 at 9:47 AM
Paul Westbrook, General Manager of the Ritz Carlton Washington DC, was all over CNN Headline News this weekend with a big smile on his face. Could that be because his hotel sold their $150,000 inauguration package? Calls to the hotel revealed that the $150,000 inauguration package was no longer available, as someone had booked the package, and was scheduled to arrive this week. "This is our Super Bowl," said Paul, speaking about the hotels inauguration week packages, which includes, but is not limited to, stunning views from the Presidential suite, eleven tickets to the inauguration ball, a private butler, who will go to your home, pack up your junk, and fly you to DC, and a Badgley Mischka gown, just like Jenna Bush will be wearing to the gala.
Oh, and the coup de'gras, your personal butler will sprinkle your late night turn down with rose petals...in the shape of a "W."
Yes we have a photo of the floral W after the jump...
One more thing, if you are still looking for a hotel room for this weeks inauguration, you can find one, we did on Hotwire this morning, a couple in Dupont Circle, and one in Alexandria, all for under $250/night, however, don't bother calling the Ritz Carlton DC about their big inauguration package.
