So what if LA temps are currently analogous with conditions here in the Northeast--both coasts are hovering around fourty--the point is, current weather conditions are an anomaly, like a blue moon, or a solar eclipse, this to shall pass. When Old Man Winter wakes up in the Northeast you will be California dreaming once again, and when that time comes we want to help.

Few SoCal dreams are better than the one that involves you lunching at the Santa Monica pier, outdoors, on a January day, soaking in the sunny weather. When you are ready to make that scene a reality, you may want to check out the Viceroy in Santa Monica.

Sure, sure, like most boutiques the service can be spotty, but hey, this is LA, the service at Noah's Bagles is spotty, deal with it. The pool is small and mostly decorative. Simply part of the backdrop for you to stare at, as you sip your drinks, and enjoy the palm-treed patio. If you are checking into the Viceroy, it is probably for the scene and the location. Viceroy's location is second to none, close to the beach, and from the top floor rooms (above the fourth floor) you can see the Pacific.

Oh yeah, an be prepared to pay for Internet access and WiFi, so if free access is paramount to your stay, you may want to look elsewhere. However, the rooms do boast DVD players, so pack your Netflix.

The Viceroy does have a "best available rate guarantee". You know the drill, book a room, find the same room type, same dates, for a lower rate on the Internet, within twenty four hours (that is a new rule isn't it?) and the Viceroy will match the rate.
