The Elusive Sub-$200 Room In Manhattan

Are you one of those people that must get a hotel close to Times Square for under $200? If so, you have a good shot of achieving your goal at The Time Hotel in Manhattan. This hotel isn't any great shakes, rooms are small, the interior is warn, and one recent guest even claims to have found a Penthouse magazine left, or placed, in his room!

I didn't appreciate the Penthouse magazine (I'm not sure if it was left behind or put there on purpose); please just stick with Timeout magazine.

But hey, this is Manhattan for under $200 bucks, you may want to roll the dice. Besides, as far as hotel horror stories go, this place doesn't seem on the verge of condemnation.

The Time is offering a bunch of packages in early 2005, including a bed & breakfast package, and the "Bridge & Tunnel" package. The B & T includes overnight parking, but no breakfast, and both packages start at $225. $30-50 bucks for overnight parking in Manhattan? That doesn't sound like a bad deal. Granted, we are not sure who would drive into Manhattan, but we are sure the folks that do have their reasons, don't they?
