Amazing Race 6 Hotel Report: Hotel La Prieta
We thought Corsica had itself a major coming out party on last night's Amazing Race episode. From its seaside beauty, to Napoleon's house, and its unspoiled looking towns, Corsica's CBS cameo made us want to get on a plane to the Mediterranean. However, as usual the racers were too busy bickering, fretting, and, well, just plain racing, to notice Corsica's beauty. Hopefully, once the contestants reached the pit stop in La Pietra the cast and crew was given an opportunity to check out their surroundings.
Hotel La Pietra, adjacent to the pit stop, is far and away our choice for the "most likely to house the Amazing Racers" award this week. While Hotel La Pietra is far from luxurious, the property does offer air conditioning, balconies with sea views (pictured to the right), a piano bar, and a diving school. Apparently, the diving school teaches both scuba and skin diving, maybe skin diving is more Adam's speed. Forgive us while we channel Chandler Bing for a second: "Could Adam be any more frustrating?" Every time he tries something the least bit challenging he worriedly looks at the camera and says meekly, "Mom, I Love You", then proceeds to whine and flail.
If Adam was a smart man he would spend his extra time at Hotel La Pietra wisely; take Rebecca to a romantic dinner in the nearby village of Ile Rousee, go for a walk on one of the beautiful sandy beaches, then return to Hotel La Pietra and take her to the Piano Bar. Scanning the previews, it doesn't look like that is the root Adam takes.
