Does anything scream Park Avenue louder than an umbrella leash?

How about being able to pick up an umbrella leash  at the front desk of your hotel?

70 Park Ave, a new NYC hotel, seems to think their guests may be in need of such a leash for their hydrophobic pets.

Can't you just see someone walking down Park Ave during a light drizzle with their Schitzu under a canopy of plastic?  And of course, this leash is emblazoned with the hotel name across it.

In the photo, Andrew Rein, of the 70 Park Avenue demos the umbrella leash with panache.

BTW: In case you were wondering the Silverleaf Tavern, at 70 Park is not open yet, they are hoping to have it open by the end of the month. In its stead the hotel is serving up free continental breakfasts for all guests.
