Detriot Free Press calls out hotels, but doesn't name names
Are you kidding? Three great hotel hell stories in the Detroit Free Press article by Ellen Creager, but she refuses to name names, citing integrity, or hopefulness or both, she says:
Now, you may have noticed I did not expose the names of the hotels in the examples above; one hopes their lapses were not part of a pattern.
Someone should call her up and get her to sing like a bright yellow canary.
How are we, as travelers, suppose to use this vital information properly when you don't name names?
The best story? A 78 year old woman gets dinged for $75. The accusation? She was smoking in a non smoking room. The catch? This woman claims she hadn't lit up in over 42 years! Of course, all we know from Creager is that this incident all happened in an unnamed "Bay City" hotel. Jeez.
