London Hotels: The Zetter in Clerkenwell
Daniel Altman wrote a good article for the International Tribune chronicling three different hotels in and around the Clerkenwell district in London.
Here is what he though of the Zetter, a sleek hotel smack dab in the midst of Clerkenwell:
...We soon found ourselves walking along the edge of the atrium of the 59-room Zetter. And then my door opened to reveal a scene from "2001: A Space Odyssey," only in miniature.
This wonder box could not only show me crisp satellite programming, surf the Internet and play CDs and DVDs; it could also pipe in music from radio stations around the world or from its own 4,000-track collection...
This place looks like a keeper. The property is not overly expensive, like the some of the properties you might find in central London, boasts a very cool sounding "wonderbox" entertainment system (think: you can get KROCK out of NY piped into your London hotel room), and these rooms look sleek. Check out the rooms on their website.
Besides, Daniel had a bang up time in his room.
