Remember De Niro, Drukier, & Born, and their hotel for celebrities project?
Well it looks like the trio is going to have to make due with six stories.
Landmark Preservation Commissioner Meredith Kane said, and we paraphrase:
Kane: If you can't make a six-story hotel work, build apartments.
De Niro: You talkin' to me?
Kane: This meeting is over.
The hotel is intended to be located at 377-383 Greenwich St., on the corner of North Moore St and is slated to open in 2005.
