Paris Las Vegas, in association with Tribeca Theatrical Productions co-founders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, and Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, present the lavish rock musical "We Will Rock You."
De Niro, Rosenthal, and May and Taylor of Queen, are four of the several producers of the hit show which also include original UK producer Phil McIntyre.
Giant billboards with a faux Freddy Mercury on stage raising his fist to the crowd are all over town.
The show, which features 25 of Queen's greatest hits including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Are The Champions," "Another One Bites The Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," has played to sell-out crowds and standing ovations at every performance since it opened in London in May 2002, in a smash run at one of the largest venues in London's West End.
The show will be presented in the Paris Theatre Des Arts, an intimate 1,450 seat venue which will provide an extraordinary setting for audiences to experience the music and dance of "We Will Rock You," which also features complex laser light effects and six gigantic plasma screens.
Seems like old rockers never die these days, they just find themselves in a musical.
`We Will Rock You' has shown that the legendary appeal of Queen's music has never ended," said Jane Rosenthal. "We are very excited about the musical's opening in Las Vegas, as Queen has such a huge following of adoring fans here in the U.S," she added.
