Hotel 71 gives free upgrade to underdressed exec

An Internet executive walked into Chicago's swank Hotel 71 wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and walked away with a free suite upgrade, after hotel staff either sold his room to someone else, or misplaced his original reservation.

Either way, there is nothing better than scoring a free upgrade to a massive suite with a fantastic view.

As I was about to launch into my best Noo Yawka "What the F--K?" speech, she asked me if I would be interested in upgrading to a suite at no charge. Next thing you know, I go up to the 15th floor and check into a room that's easily twice (probably 3X) the size of my NYC apartment.

Ahh, if we all could be so lucky.
