BBQ and Chili Cookoff at the Mandalay Bay

We know it's too hot to be thinking about BBQs in Las Vegas right now, people were fainting today waiting in line, in triple digit weather, to see John Kerry at the Thomas and Mack (John and Teresa are staying at the Bellagio this time - they were connected to the Mandalay Bay during John's last visit to Vegas in May. Looks like dancing fountains for the dems this time through town).
Watching the Food Network a few days ago and checking out a show on last year's BBQ and Chili cookoff, got us all fired up for the October BBQ event at the Mandalay Bay.
The 2nd annual Heatin' Up the Bay BBQ and Chili Cookoff will be held from October 29 to 30 at the Mandalay Bay.
That same weekend, Mandalay is hosting the Mr. Olympia and Ms. Olympia and 2004 Fitness Olympia events. Hmm, you think those muscle heads throw around the weights then head out to the cook off? We bet they do.
The weekend before the BBQ event is the 38th Annual World Championship Chili Cookoff, also at the Mandalay Bay. We are packing on the pounds just writing about these events.
