Maritime Hotel: Porthole with a View?

During our New York City hotel swing yesterday we were suppose to head to Chelsea and check out the trendy Maritime hotel, but alas, didn't make it.  Luckily for us Gawker summed it up nicely for us yesterday.  How did they know we got hung up in SoHo and couldn't make it down there?  We think Gawker has ESPN.

We did however, talk to some folks about there experience at the Maritime.  Here are some quotes from a couple locals:   "The place is out of control trendy". "Lines out the door, and the bouncers have attitude galore."

But what about the actual hotel?  What are the rooms and service like?  So far all we know is that you can peep into the projects from your porthole window, and Mr. 10-10-987 got over Mystique at the Maritime Hotel.
