Hotel Gansevoort: Needs Looking Into

HotelChatter is receiving some negative reports on HK's newest creation, Hotel Gansevoort.  When we stayed at Gansevoort's sister property, The Library, back in February, we were thoroughly impressed, and anxious to check out Gansevoort this summer.  It is, after all, billed as a swank hotel with a rooftop pool in the meatpacking district.

However, in May, we received an anonymous report that the service at Gansevroot was not just lacking, but downright dismal.  Apparently, a simple room service order took almost two hours!  Ouch.

We took this first report as just that, one report, and filed it away until we heard more.  Last week an email from a recent guest surfaced saying that "nothing worked" at the hotel.  She cited the television, the wireless, and even the elevator as all being broken at one time or another during her stay.
