Smoking Is No No for Bono In Own Hotel

There's to be no smoking indoors in Ireland... and that law applies to you too, U2.
Ananova.com reports that Bono was busy entertaining the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (and you know how hard it is to keep Flea from getting bored) inside Dublin's Clarence Hotel -- a hotel owned by Bono himself -- when he lit up an unforgettable fire: A cigarette.
Hotel staff, on Bono's payroll mind you, quickly forced the sun-glasses loving crooner to put out the butt.
It was the wee small hours," Bono said. "I was in the company of people from out of town who didn't know about the ban and for a moment nor did I. I was quickly reminded by the staff and a few friends. I apologised then and I apologise now.
Ireland became the first country to ban smoking in public places on March 29 of this year -- a Monday, bloody Monday, indeed.
