Zen Out on Miami Beach at the Raleigh Hotel

Partake in the all-night every night international party scene, but then retreat to the elegant art deco hideaway on the sands of Miami's south beach. One of the great hotels from the formative years, the Raleigh, with its olympic size pool, has been totally refurbished by famed hip hotelier, and Uma Thurman boyfriend, Andre Balazs. Unlike the Delano next door, and other high-end beach hotels that become the scene at night, the Raleigh remains an exclusive oasis from the noisy moonlit madness of Sobe (south beach).

Roomy rooms, some with a balcony facing the sea, have the festive spirit of a beach party populated by models and movie stars.

Despite the pricey rooms, I don't feel at home in Miami Beach unless I'm at the Raleigh.
