Corporate Leisure Defined: Kor Hotels, The Avalon

When business meets pleasure, stay at a Kor Hotel. Believe it or not, I stumbled upon this must-know through Ted Casablanca's gossip column, "The Awful Truth". All he did was whisper Heath Ledger and The Avalon in the same breath, and my ears were up.

But when I got to the website, I already felt pampered by the designer touches of George Nelson, Isamu Noguchi, and Charles Eames. Who? Does it matter when the rooms look this good?!

The Avalon is composed of 86 luxury rooms in the heart of Beverly Hills. They call it patio style. "Enlivened Serenity". I say, "Oh yes, get me booked!"

Poolside dining like Avalon's award winning Blue on Blue restaurant is what makes working on the road so much fun.
